Press Release – Number 2

Issue date 30.1.2020
Palma, London
Following the enormous success in 2019, it was decided that De:central Days should be repeated in 2020. At the same location at the magnificent Auditorium in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. An island that like no other provides opportunities to work, live and play in a perfect mix.
In order to cope with the growing demand, it has been decided to extend the management team and Florian Krüger was asked to join to complement the existing team with his international network. He had previously helped as a client and partner during the first event and was excited about the opportunity to support an already well-working team.
As the current chair for EMEA of the prestigious International Society of Chief Data Officers of the MIT, or ISCDO in short, Advisory Board Member, Director and Co-Founder in a number of successful ventures and a visiting lecturer in universities, such as Warwick, Cranfield, Hult, St.Gallen, TUM, or the LSBU, Florian brings additional perspectives that the team found valuable. With his passion for education and anything data, he will hold regular lectures and conduct training, both on the Balearics, as well as online.
Reinhold Lang, Founding Partner of the De:central Days says “I’m proud that we managed to attract talent of this calibre in the few months that we have been building the De:central Days brand. We feel strongly that with Florian’s support, as one of our management team members, we will be able to bring our events and supporting activities to a whole other level.”
Florian Krueger adds “Being able to join such a wonderful team of experts, is a real honour. I want to do everything in my power to make sure that Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, are not just seen as tourism hotspots, but as real alternatives to becoming a home for innovators and thought-leaders across all industries. The conditions for a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle are perfect. As the extended DeDays team, we are planning to attract many firms and their people to explore the beauty and great conditions on the islands.”
DeDays was started with the intention to get Mallorca and its neighbouring islands on the map of the digital convention and blockchain circuit. Since then, it has become a home for the many to seek advice. Whether start-ups, disruptors or established companies, many have started to see the benefits of spending more time at a place that celebrates diversity and embraces new ideas. The team is focussing on expanding and starting a series of events and more services during the next months. Stay tuned!
